About Holly Marzetti
Holly Marzetti graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and holds a Physical Education position in Fulton County, Georgia. Holly has always been an active athlete competing in basketball and volleyball before turning her attention to endurance sports. After running the Honolulu Marathon in 1998 she was hooked and eventually rose to the challenge of triathlon. Holly has completed races from Olympic to Ironman distance, competing at the Lake Placid and Wisconsin Ironman races. She is licensed by USA Cycling and is a USA Triathlon level II licensed coach. Holly was one of the first coaches hired by The Sport Factory and has over twenty two years of coaching experience. Holly is extremely active in promoting the sport of triathlon for adults and children alike. One her of her proudest moments was watching 12 of her elementary students cross the finish line at the Ironkids race in Alpharetta, GA. She has helped plan children's events such as the Stingrays triathlon and Turkey Trot.
Holly has donated her time to numerous Ironman, marathon, and Ironkids events. You will often find her in the transition area. encouraging athletes to push on. Holly has coached talented young athletes on the USAT Junior Elite team as well as top ranked cross country runners. She is considered one of the top coaches of junior triathletes in the country but enjoys working with endurance athletes of all age and abilities.
"As your coach, it's my job to know the science of training and use it appropriately to help you reach your goals. We aren't pro triathletes with unlimited time to train. We all have other commitments – families, children, work, school, etc. Together we'll design a plan that takes into account your real life situation and that accomplishes your goal. Along the journey you will have an enjoyable and exhilarating experience training and racing."
